Crackle Medium 50ml

This product helps you achieve complex patterns that perfectly mimic organic textures, such as those found on frog skin or insect shells. It is the ideal tool for lure builders who want to break away from classic designs and give their lures a distinct look.

How it works and why to use it?

The principle is simple: One-Component Crackle Medium is applied between two layers of contrasting colors. As the top layer dries, it “cracks” under the action of the medium, revealing the base color through the fissures.

High-Impact Combinations: The most spectacular results are obtained using high-contrast colors. For example, you can create an aggressive lure by applying Createx Opaque Black over a Createx Fluorescent Orange base.

Speed and Simplicity: It is very easy to apply, and in just 5 minutes, you can achieve patterns that look like they were hand-painted for hours.

Total Compatibility: It is 100% compatible with Createx paints and can be safely sealed with Devcon 2 Ton resin as a topcoat, without the risk of reaction or yellowing.

Application Instructions for Lure Building:

1. Base: Apply the background color (the one that will show through the cracks) and let it dry completely.

2. The Medium: Apply an even layer of Crackle Medium. The thickness of this layer dictates the size of the cracks. A thin layer will produce fine cracks, while a thicker layer will produce the opposite.

3. Final Color: Once the medium has become tacky to the touch (but not completely dry), apply the second layer of paint. Important: Do not reapply the same area with the brush or airbrush, as this may disturb the cracking process that begins immediately.

4. Protection: Once dry, protect the design with a layer of lacquer or epoxy resin.
